Some Cool Info on WMFO

Here's an interesting article on the history of radio at Tufts University.  It mentions and/or quotes several of my contemporaries from way back when.

The station is also hosting an open house to celebrate WMFO's 40th anniversary.  Here are the deets:

Announcing the WMFO 40th Anniversary Open House!

Dear WMFO Community,

We are pleased to announce that WMFO, Tufts Freeform Radio, will be hosting a community open house on Friday, December 3rd from 5 PM to 8 PM in honor of our 40 years of Freeform radio!

We know it's hard to believe, but WMFO has been transmitting our Freeform signal on 91.5 FM from our Curtis Hall studios since 1970, and we figure it's about time to celebrate!

The event is free and open to the public. We'd love it if you could join us to help acknowledge the occasion. Come and visit to see the inside of your favorite radio station, meet our staff, and enjoy some Freeform company and camaraderie.

If you know you're coming, we'd appreciate it if you could RSVP here: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHhWUHI3dkYtMGZkbXcyaGtOMjhmZHc6MQ. RSVPing is not mandatory, but will help us gauge how best to prepare for your visit.

If you have any questions, please contact agm@wmfo.org. We have also attached our press release regarding the event.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the event! Feel free to pass the word along to your friends and fellow Freeform appreciators. The more, the freeformer.

Sincerely,
Andy Sayler
